It's been a crazy and very busy time recently. Between orders I have been dedicating 3D printer time to creating COVID-19 faceshields for NHS nurses and others in need, through the volunteer organisation 3DCROWD UK. The image above (from the 3DCROWD website) shows completed face shields. The orange-coloured top and bottom parts are 3D printed, and the clear splash mask is supplied and fitted separately (but can be made from a fizzy drinks bottle at a pinch!).
To date, 3DCROWD have organised over 8000 volunteers, have delivered over 80,000 face shields, have raised over £126,000, and have requests for over 600,000 face shields.
